How To Make A Tin Can Rocket Stove For $5 – DIY Homemade Survival Stove

Rocket stoves are a great item to have for any off grid homestead or bushcraft kit. They’re great in any survival situation, or a great way to cook your meals next time you go camping. They can also be a little pricey. You can find them on Amazon for anywhere from $45-$160. So why not make your own for about $5.

The rocket stove you are going to be making is looks and works amazing and is very simple to make.

One of the nice things about this rocket stove is that you will be able to cook full meals using very little fuel. By fuel we mean leaves, twigs, and small sticks. Just a brief side note: main body of stove (largest can) is a one gallon paint can. It was purchased at Home Depot for $5.

Medium sized can is a pasta sauce can and the smallest can is a standard size soup can. For this video a 2 1/2″ hole saw to mark (score) the paint can.

To make your stove you will need: 3 metal cans, gravel/sand and/or dirt! that’s it. The only tools you will need are a hacksaw, pliers and a drill. This stove is powerful, wind and rain resistant.

Simple step by step instructions are included in the video. We hope you enjoy this project. Likes us on Facebook Here!
